Ask DLL and Co. was started by the very curious and People Operations-obsessed Deena-Lee Leacock, a.k.a. DLL. Deena's motivation as a nonprofit leader has not only been the desire to bring about change and order in a chaotic world, but to make the workplace, whether physical or virtual, an enjoyable and rewarding daily destination for employees. Deena is a People Operations generalist who specializes in a broad range of business functions, Throughout her leadership journey, she has been guided by the principle of high expectations and high support, believing that excellence and efficiency in the workplace begin with clarity, connectedness and communication. Deena is constantly thinking about who is needed in the room when opportunities for change and growth arise, and is committed to enlisting the partnership and expertise of other accomplished consultants, advisers and practitioners in her network to further support clients and organizations  in achieving their peak potential.

Deena-Lee Leacock is an experienced People & Nonprofit Operations Leader who is committed to operational excellence and cultivating environments that foster growth and resilience in the face of challenges. Deena excels at strategically developing systems and processes that effectively and sustainably drive individuals and organizations to achieve their goals and make measurable impact. For over 15 years, Deena has held a variety of leadership positions in New York City, dedicating herself to the education sector, both at charter schools and nonprofits. Her areas of professional expertise include organizational culture, equity and inclusion, employee engagement, team leadership and development, and strategic planning, and her enduring curiosity about these subjects means that she is constantly in learning mode, reflecting on the news, research and trends impacting the workforce and the nonprofit landscape.
